What is your theme for 2016 ?


Mine is going to be haunted forest / graveyard in the front yard
party area is going to be a reaper dinner party

That sounds great! I don't really have a theme, because I save my decorations from year to year. One of my favorite features is my "ghost dance". I string tiny orange lights in my redbud tree, so it looks like a bonfire. Then I encircle it with ghosts I made out of dowel rods, milk jugs, duct tape, and trash bags. They look like they are dancing around the fire.

Oh I did something like that with witches last year. Was so much fun looked great. Do you have pics if yours ?

Those sound like awesome ideas for displays! Both the Witches and the Ghosts. Yours looks awesome there Saki!

For the most part I just put the decorations I have out as I don't usually have time to plan a theme. The past few years I've either been busy with college or work or both. Like Murf I usually collect different decorations from year to year and I usually add maybe one or two new things. A theme would be fun one day when I find more time to plan.

Though I'm going to be honest with y'all, I'm focusing more on my summer plans right now than Halloween.

I have a Witchs Ball Party scheduled. I have similar idea of doing the witches ring around a fake fire. Saki Girl your picture has just made me added hair to them which I hadn't thought of. love the pictures. i'm doing my witches on large upside down tomato cages that will give there dresses more fullness and thinking of a light under them might give some kind of glowing effect. The party is outside beside the lake so there isn't much lighting by the moon except what we add. Thanks for the pic as they provide good ideas.
