I use Malwarebytes. There's a free version and a full version, I just stick with the free one. It works pretty well.

Most of the viruses I've gotten were fixed by using Malwarebytes. Or atleast most of the viruses I've gotten were caused by malware.

.
I use AVG Free. It seems to catch most everything (no virus checker catches everything), it scans websites before you land on them and warns you if they are an attack site (at least in conjunction with Firefox, don't know about the other browsers), and it uses very few resources (even though it scans my computer every day I never notice a slowdown). You get even more features if you pay for it.

On a side note... if you download a file and are worried it may contain a bug, even though your scanner didn't catch one, you can go to most virus programs' websites and run an online file scan. It may involve installing an activex program to your browser. I'll sometimes run 5 or 6 different scans on something that I find suspect. Sometimes one or two of them will throw up a warning so then I'll put the possibly infected file in a temporary folder for a while before I delete it. Just in case it turns out to have been a false-positive.

I don't pay anything b/c Cox Community did provide me McAfee is the best, and it's FREE! I have had no problem with virus in my own computer. Why choose any other companies? :?

Well, just curious. I'd like to see some opinions from everyone here. ;)

It was funny back in 2004 when my stepbrother had a computer. It had virus. When it was messed up, and he got mad he knocked the computer down on the floor then he threw the monitor out of the window!  He must be crazy MF! he only had his computer for 5 years! :?
