Have you had any experiences with discount cruises either with last minute cruise deals or booking them some other way?

You would think that if you were booking a cruise last minute, like the night before it leaves, you might be able to get a good deal but in my experience it did not happen. We booked a Disney Cruise about 15 hours before it was due to sail and it was expensive PLUS it was an inside room. Of course we still had a WONDERFUL but I was a little disappointed that price seemed to go up rather than down.

I just looked at the Disney Cruise line website. It looks like a category 7 (with navigators verandah) is running about $1700.00 That’s really not a bad price. This past Sunday, you could find a verandah room for this weekend for about $1600.00. It’s no longer available online but I bet if you called, there are still some rooms available. I would love to go on a cruise this weekend, this cold weather and everything else is driving me crazy. I could use a vacation and a cruise would be perfect….

Do you think think that cruise lines are starting to mark down cruises because of the state of the economy? I just can’t imagine that most people have the extra money to take such an expensive vacation.

Can you take a 2 week cruise for under $10,000.00? If you hear of any, please let me know. With the economy the way it is, that’s the only way I will be able to go.

If you are looking for a last minute deal on the Disney Ships over spring break (usually weeks in March), don’t bother. I just looked online and called, there is nothing even available.

Before 2 months I just looked at the Disney Cruise line website. I have found one holiday package which for me for $1500. That’s really not a bad price. So in a last minute I decided to spend my holiday there and booked the holiday package.
