InactiveI sailed on the NCL Spirit last year. I was taking my 11 year old daughter on her first cruise. My brother who is a cruise director booked me, my daughter, and my BFF on our cruise. NCL was very helpful each time I called them and I did, alot. Getting on the ship was very easy and we were in our room in minutes and I was laying on a lounge chair in less than 30 minutes.
The kid pool was 4’0 there was also a baby pool near by for very young children. A great slide that I wanted to go on but wasn’t allowed to
Over at the adult pool that started at 5’0 there were adult games, music, and alot of food and a great CD named Julie that got everyone cheering and singing.
We had a balcony room that was alittle small but we made the best of it. Freestyle cruising is wonderful if you are traveling with children. Parents know that when our kids get hungry they want to eat at that second. Also some people need to eat at certain times. My daughter loved eatting in all the different restuarants on the ships and also liked the idea she could dress up or not. I liked this idea also.
I wanted to take my child to DisneyWorld but I didn’t want a Disney cruise on the Spirit one of the Shore Ex. was DisneyWorld it was an hour trip to Disney and the bus was filled with really nice people and the kids were very happy. We had 8 hours which was more than enough time for her to eat with the Princess’s and enjoy what she wanted to.
Then we were off to Nassau, so pretty, we had a half hour ride to the beach and had about 3 hours there. We were also lucky enough to get a bus driver that gave us a tour on the way back to the ship. There were alot of Shore Ex at Nassau but we just wanted to rest at the beach after all the walking we did the day before in Disney. But we did get some great shopping in also.
Getting off the ship was fast and easy. I traveled another crusie line this year and wasn’t as happy with somethings so next year we are going back to NCL and plan on seeing Bermunda, and then on the Gem to the Caribbean.

InactiveBermuda is beautiful. I have not been there by ship, but have by plane several times and it is great. I loved it and intend to go back again, but by ship this time. I went at Easter one time and the weather was just perfect. Couldn’t have enjoyed it more.

InactiveThanks, my Dad has been there several times and also loved it. I hear that NCL’ s Spirit couldn’t get into it’s two posts, Fla and the Bahmas because of the storm so they spent several days in Bermunda. I wouldn’t have been upset with that at all.
