Re: Run out to Wallgreens

I went to Walgreen's last Friday and all they had was candy. I am so disappointed! Maybe by this week :(

Fake, edible blood?

I need to find a really good recipe for this year's zombie pub crawl. I have tried several recipes in the past for various costumes and they don't have the right consistency or end up being too sticky (as with corn syrup). Any suggestions?

Re: Creepy 'Trick r' Treat' yard

Thanks for all the tips! I will be checking out Home Depot in the next week or so. I was also at Saver's last night and they had foam heads for about $2.99 a piece. If I could find a way to weather proof them that might work out nice. I would use actual pumpkins, but we have an abundant squirrel pop...

Creepy 'Trick r' Treat' yard

After watching this movie, I thought it would be great to have my yard set up like the very first house seen in the movie. Any ideas on an inexpensive way to build the frames for the jack-o-lantern/ghost decorations? Thanks :)

Re: Witchcraft?

Murf, that is one of the most wonderfully open-minded statements I have ever heard coming from a Christian! Thank you so much. Midnight Witch, if you want to PM I can answer any other questions you may have concerning Wicca. Threads about religion on here tend to not go very well even if witches and...

Re: Cat and Owl Playing

This warms my heart every time I see it. These are two of my favorite animals! I will say that the Barn owl has leather straps (Called a jess and used in falconry) attached to its feet so it is a trained bird which is why they get along so well. If it was a Great Horn owl, we would be watching diffe...

Re: Jack O'Lanterns

I am not super creative, although I have done patterns in the past. I like to stick to faces and make them spooky. Murfreesboro, sorry to hear about your kitty. I think a pumpkin tribute is a nice touch.

Yes, I can't wait! The mornings have started getting cooler as well as the evenings. We had some rain today, however, and tomorrow is supposed to be 95 and humid. Ish.

Re: 2011 Yard Themes?

Well, maybe someday I will live somewhere that goes all out for Halloween. We get a lot of Christmas stuff in my neighborhood and I could read in the middle of the night from all the lights. Ish.

Re: Top Ten Worst Halloween Treats

It makes me sad to see candy corn on here. I love them! You just can't eat too many pieces in one sitting, then it gets too sweet. We used to stick them on our teeth and pretend they were vampire fangs.

Re: 2011 Yard Themes?

I live in the suburbs and some people put out some decorations, but nothing spectacular. There are a couple houses in the next city over that go all out, that's about it :(

Re: Trick R Treat Shout out

I may have to do that, but I used Netflix so it will have to wait. I will say that I loved the way they filmed it at least.
