I still haven't read the books either, but like the movies.

At the risk of becoming the great nerdy cliché, I'm gonna go ahead and say it. The books were much better than the movies.

The book is usually always better than the movie.
But in this case, I don't have enough patience to read all the books.

Rarely is the movie better than the book. I'd have to say that the book Trainspotting was excellent, but the movie really tightened up a frenetic plot and a tangled mass of characters, and was really better than the book.

Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!
