fence lamps
in my many travels across the net I cam upon these lamps, they look great and seem to be made of mason jars, or re-sealable glass jars of some kind......I plan to re-create these next year

Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

It looks like these lights we saw in the swamps in Louisiana. Homemade and great!

I have seen that type of jar with the metal clasp and tight seal top sold at Michael's. What is the light source...? A votive candle?Spookymufu wrote:in my many travels across the net I cam upon these lamps, they look great and seem to be made of mason jars, or re-sealable glass jars of some kind......I plan to re-create these next year

Re: fence lamps
if I had to guess, I would say he frosted the glass then used a yellow electric lightbulb or flicker light in them.MacPhantom wrote: I have seen that type of jar with the metal clasp and tight seal top sold at Michael's. What is the light source...? A votive candle?

Re: fence lamps
It looks as if the supports are twine so an open flame would certainly be the wrong light source.
