29 workers killed in a mining accident.... 11 rig workers killed on an oil platform.... and outside right now, it's both sunny and windy. How have we not yet switched our dependence on energy to these clean, safe, limitless resources? Even if climate change is a hoax, there's still a million good reasons to do this. And I can think of 40 especially good reasons.

Our weather hasn't been all bad.

I took this last weekend, before the crew came in and mowed it all down :(

That's a nice photo. I heard about the minere and the platform workers who were killed, and I am all for energy alternatives for so many reasons it's not even funny. Just the price of gas. I would be willing to bet that if we used alternate energy, (thermo nuclear, solar, wind and geothermal) to generate all of our electricity, we could cut the cost of gasoline drasticly. The oil companies are the main culprits IMHO. Their proffits were in the hundreds of billions, and they don't want to lose that revenue.
