Caramel Apple French Toast

Post by Spooky » Wed Sep 05, 2007 11:22 pm

I make this for my guests, and it is really good...and great for this time of year.

You need:

Mini Crossiants
2- granny smith apples thinly sliced
caramel dip or caramel ice cream topping
whipped cream
powdered sugar
Brown Sugar and Cinnamon cream cheese

I make an egg mixture with:

2 eggs
1/2 c milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon

slice 8 crossiants in the middle, and spread on cream cheese, stick apples slices inside the crossiants on top of the cream cheese, close the crossiant...dip it on both sides in the egg mixture for about 30 seconds,

put them in a 13 X 9 pan...that you cover the bottom with aluminium foil and spray with cooking spray.

You bake them uncovered 15 minutes at 375 degrees

You stick them on a plate...warm the caramel topping....drizzle it on top, stick some whipped cream on top, and dust with powdered sugar.

It is yummy.

You can do the same recipe with blueberry cream cheese or strawberry cream cheese and top with blueberries or strawberries.
