I heard about your double-dip recession, Zoltan. I have a feeling we are very likely headed that way, too.

Hey Zoltan, I was listening to a radio station from Galway this morning. The news reports sounded very dire indeed. I also heard them talking about the guy with the bomb in London. Crazy world.

Things are looking pretty bad, despite the government telling us all that it's going to get better. I really think that we are in a major depression, not just a recession, and it may take 10 or 12 years before we see any semblance of a "normal" ecconomy again.

Of course, in the case of those horible wedding pictures, there's some one who should lose his or her job. I can't believe any self respecting professional photog would even want anyone to see photos like that. Once in a while, when my flash unit doesn't recycle fast enough, or I hit the shuuter release prematurely and get an out of focus or accidenta' picture, I delete it right away. And this guy actualy gives them to his client? And charges 1200 bucks???

It's all fine and good to want a job, but one must also be willing to do the work once they get the job. If a young couple shelled out 1200 bucks for me to take photos of them at their wedding, I would make damn sure the images I send to them were 2nd to none. Of course, my depression era / World War II era parents taught me to take pride in my work, not just my paycheck. Go figure.

Mike

I will still be on the payroll until May 25. After that, I get 33 weeks of severance pay. So in my case, no need to really panic yet. I am a little worried. 37 weeks will fly by in no time. I just dread the job search and interview process.

Omg me too Boogey. After all this time and at my age it's a scary thought.

I am 42, so I am almost to the age where employers will be reluctant to hire me. Hard to say or know at this point, but this may be a blessing in disguise. While I really did not care for my job or the company, I don't like the circumstances I find myself in. After all, looking for job while you still have one, is much different than looking for one when you are not employed

And since I have Aspergers Syndrome, I do not perform very well in job interviews..
