I do like Alabama. I have them in my car for road trips. :)

First love is rock. But I do like country.

I love bluegrass and fiddle playing in general, but I loathe country music. There are a few songs and a few artists who are narrowly excepted, but for the most part, UGGHH.

Did you like Oh Brother Where Art Thou, Mac?
That had some good music in it.

It isn't my favorite of the Coen Brothers' movies, but I did enjoy the music and the supporting cast. George Clooney's acting was distracting, and quite detrimental to the movie overall.

Yes the whole cast was excellent. But I don't think Clooney was a detriment. I loved how he carried off that role. He cracked me up with his worries over his hair.

Yay Adrian!! It's good to see another Oh Brother fan! :)

Here we have the Bean Blossom blue grass festival. It is awesome to go to. I go every year!

Allison Krause does have a really good voice, Andy.

"You’re the lucky one so I’ve been told
Free as the wind blowin down the road
Loved by many, hated by none
I’d say you were lucky cause I know what you’ve done
Not a care in the world not a worry in sight
Everything’s going to be all right
Cause you’re the lucky one."

*sigh*

Yeah, I don't know. I think they probably could have cast about a hundred different actors who would have done a better job. There's just something about his acting style that's too.... Clooney. Like, no matter what role he's playing, you can't forget he's Clooney. A good actor disappears into the role.

What can I say.... I'm picky. Nit picky. Cotton picky, even.

You do have a point in that, Mac. I am just a die-hard fan of his.
But I also love Jack Nicholson, and he does disappear into his roles.

Exactly.

Like Dean Martin, it's just ol' Dean-o up there, reading a script.
