It's 60 right now and I have a fire going in the family room, I kid you not.
I went down to the pond this morning to scope out the tables for the household 4th of July picnic and the sun actually came out, even though it's still cold.
There are 2 stone tables and benches scattered on the bank, and a little flagstone picnic area at one end. It's about the size of a football field, but not square.

This little guy sits on a field stone at one end of the pond. I don't know if he actually attracts real ducks, but he looks good sitting there, keeping watch.

The 4th of July is my very close 2nd to Halloween for being my favorite holiday of the year. I am going to take the mew Merc to my brothers lake and enjoy some 4th of July "party favors."

I'd like to think that I have the skills to do so but no, those were a custom job from a company that does garden stuff and 'monuments', out in the San Joaquin valley.

In three or four weeks, Halloween decorations will begin showing up in stores.
At first it will just be places like The Dollar Tree or Big Lots, but that's cool.
I love seeing the first signs of Halloween.
