My cat meows like shes talking to me, if I ask her a question or talk to her in some way she'll "meow meow meeooow meow meowwww" etc like shes talking, some times she'll meow all through the house calling out to me when she doesnt know where I am, then when I answer she stops and comes running....

That's a nice looking cat, Spooky. What's his or her name?

To my understanding, the reason cats became associated w/witches & Halloween is that they're considered to be uncanny and have a mystical reputation. They were also believed to be a favorite choice as familiars to witches due to their magical nature. A read somewhere the theory that a witch's familiar is the equivalent of a cat witch and they seek out humans to work with. I've always wanted to write a story around that.

I've had cats my entire life and some lived up to the reputation and some didn't. My current cat is a tortoiseshell calico female who is a spoiled princess kitty. I suspect her only reaction to something supernatural would be disdain for this thing that dared to take attention away from her. She's also 20 years old now and is even more demanding. I swear she has the "I'm old, you have to cater to me" attitude.

20? Good job! We mostly take in strays and bottle babies, and our oldest lasted until 16 (also a calico). Most of them have feline leukemia when we get them, so we were glad we had her so long. (we have 9..yes 9...right now)

I love all cats, but my work schedule makes taking care of any animal at all, impossible. I live alone, and it just wouldn't be right to subject a pet to all those long lonely hours. Besides that, I like to travel by motorcycle and that makes transporting a pet rather difficult if not impossible.

I wish people would refrain from quoting other peoples pics in a post just to say "good job" or "thats cool" or some such....Especially when it's the VERY NEXT post...

I don't think saddle bags would be a good idea for a cat. First off, cats hate confined spaces. Second of all, and probably more importantly, it gets very VERY hot inside those saddle bags in the Summer sun. I would have PETA comming after me with pitchforks and billy clubs if I did something like that. I'm afraid any pet is just not in my future any time soon.

Here is my 2nd wish list:

I think I'll just make that the whole list.

And it's on sale this weekend.

When Winkles saw it, she suggested we get it for Nana. Because her old axe broke.
