I hope, anyway.

You're right because you need to keep the evil sun away from your lovely pumpkins!

Around here, that's a little easier said then done. We allways have "Indian Summer" during the Fall season. Usualy it only lasts about a week, but there have been a couple of times it lasted about 3 weeks, and there have also been a few times when it lasted only a couple of days. But we allways have it none the less.

I am still having AC on in the house. Strange it is 91 degrees, and it will fall back to 70s tonight. I know it is Autumn, but it still feels like summer here.

Middle school football game tonight. My youngest is a cheerleader. Nothing like football to make you feel like fall is here. Even if it is in the high 80's at kickoff!!!
Go Jackets!

OH, football is in full swing, for sure! My middle son played a couple of seasons, then decided to do marching band instead. It still keeps him around the football games!
My older boy spent seven months in Europe this year as a study-abroad experience. When he got back in August he heard football being advertised on TV, and he got this big smile on his face and said, "All right! American Football !"

I have two older brothers who LIVE for football. Both of them are avid Chicago Bears fans and Notre Dame fans, and every time those teams play, you will see them glued to the tv.

No offence, but I am no fan of team sports of any kind, and I especialy high school sports. It just never captured my interest.

Summer has definately gone, or at least went on hiatus. This morning it was chilly and rainy, and there was a very definate feel of Fall in the air. I went out later this afternoon to deliver something to one of our temporary buildings, and it was a beautiful fall day. I wish I could have driven the bike to work.
