A very interesting concept. To find life on another planet. Perhaps even intelligent life.

Shoot... I'd be happy if we found intelligent life on this planet. 
I just read that researchers found a super tough bacteria in Antarctica. They really didn't expect to find any form of life in Lake Vida. This really improves the odds of finding life somewhere up there. Learning there's life somewhere other than Earth would probably be the biggest discovery during my lifetime. It was announced last week that Curiosity found something earth-shattering on Mars but they are withholding the news until they confirm it. I'm hoping it's life or evidence of past life. It better not be some new type of rock!

A lot of scientists believe that Mars was very Earth like billions of years ago, but when the core of the planet solidified, the magnetic shield died off, and the atmosphere started to dissapate, and is still disappating to this day. There may have been life there at one time, and it wouldn't suprise me if there was intelligent life and a civilization there long before Earth was bring forth the very first microbes from the primordial oose.

I knew it. Misunderstanding my butt! I think they found Martians and just don't want to tell us about it. On the plus side, the probe orbiting Mercury found ice and organics at the north pole. It would have been even better news if they said they found ice and a toy shop at the north pole of Mercury.

I'm happy I don't have to go the doctor today, or for a while. I have an autoimmune disease in one of my eyes called ocular histoplasmosis. The retina started to bleed, and I was told a couple of weeks ago I would need a shot to make it stop. A shot in my eye! Well, I got that done on Tuesday. The shot itself turned out not to be so bad, but the aftermath was tough (eye burned like fire for hours because of the antibiotic they had put into it).
It just so happened all this was going on during the very time I had scheduled my annual physical (scheduled a year ago). So two weeks ago I was having my hand and arm punctured for the fluorescan (test they do to see blood flow in your retina, by pumping a fluorescent chemical into your bloodstream); last week I was having blood drawn for routine blood work, followed by the annual mammogram; and this week I was having a shot in my eye, followed two days later by the actual physical. I am so done with doctors for a while.
Bring on Christmas!

I'm happy because my hubby took off tomorrow for my birthday!! It's hard to believe I'll be 50!!!!! I think he is throwing a party too, WOW!!! Wish me luck!!!
