Oddly, I've never seen Pulp Fiction, though I believe my son has it on dvd. I'll have to ask him to let me view it. Quentin Tarantino, right?

Yes, it is his opus.

I was surprised to learn a few years ago that Tarantino is from Tennessee, Knoxville area.

...and now I too know that.

I know nothing about him other than that. Somehow, with his reputation for violent films, etc, he just never struck me as a Southern kind of guy.

The violence is largely psychological, lots of clever editing and sound effects.

He is THE master of timing and dialog.

Well, that does sound intriguing. I know he has employed many actors I like over the years.

Not to mention resurrection John Travoltas carreer.

I know, right? I really need to see that movie.

I would also recommend 'Reservoir Dogs'.

It put him on the map.

I need to look at all his titles. I'm pretty sure there's at least one I've always meant to see.

What he does is take schlocky genre films and elevate them.

'B' movies, if you will.

Exploitation films, drive-in grinder movies, killer chick's and vampires too.

'From dusk til Dawn' is a family road trip gone horribly, horribly wrong.

All of them peppered with delightfully inappropriate humor.

Which one has vampires?

From Dusk til Dawn.

Thats one I don't think I've heard of. I'll have to watch for it.
