It's really sad when Hippieluvn's Horrorthon comes to and end. I think you should do another one during Creepmas.

I agree, and they should open with a double feature. "Black Christmas" and "Silent Night Deadly Night."

ah, thanks...

even though she'll watch the occasional flick...

my wife isn't into horror like me, but we have an annual thanksgiving marathon...

we alternate each year between two great movie sagas: harry potter & the lord of the rings 8)

christmas movie watching, however, is more sporadic throughout the month of december...

there are a few must-watch holiday films: elf, xmas story, xmas vacation, wonderful life, and miracle on 34th st

Our must-watch Christmas films are Christmas Carol (George C. Scott version), Wonderful Life, Christmas Story, The Nativity, and Bethlehem Star (a documentary). From my own childhood I still love Rudolph, Charlie Brown, and the Grinch. A year or two ago we discovered Joyeux Noel, about the spontaneous Christmas truce during WWI. It's excellent, but more serious, of course.

Just watched 'White Christmas' last night. Still waiting for 'It's a Wonderful Life' to come on since I don't have it on disk. Have yet to see 'Scrooged' in the listings. That's one of my favorite Bill Murry movies.

Nevermore, NBC always airs It's A Wonderful Life on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and on Christmas Eve. They own the rights to it and only show those times every year. It wasn't all that long ago that it would be on every channel and practically start every hour.

Yes, there was even a joke about that in one of the Home Alone films, I think (maybe HA II). The family is stranded in a hotel room and watching Wonderful life in Spanish. I think, about along that time, the TV networks realized they were running it into the ground.

I must be the weirdest person alive. I have watched and watched It's A Wonderful Life and it still does nothing for me.
