That's too funny. And I have been there!

Th bed sheet thing is cool, though.

Valentine's is pretty much a non-event at our house. I'm trying to think of something I can do in the kitchen to commemorate it. I've never made chocolate-dipped strawberries. I'm thinking about that.

Murfreesboro you should try making them they are wonderful!!!

Shanda congrat's on the 15 year mark, that wonderful & rare!!!

Would you all believe 28 years here? As of last Oct. 24.

I think we managed to go out to eat once in Dec., when college son was still away, high school son was at a wrestling match, and daughter was at Girl Scouts. When they found out a few weeks later that we'd been out to eat without them, they were flabbergasted.

Oh, and Witchy, I googled the chocolate-dipped strawberries. Sounds simple enough. I think I'm going to do that.

As I said before, Velentines Day is no big deal to me one way or the other. I don't hate it with a passion, and I don't look forward to it with baited breath. I had fun with it when I was a kid, and I do watch the "Charlie Brown" V Day specials for 'old time sake,' but this Sunday my main concern is going to be on a photo shoot that I will be doing.

My grandparents just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary and I asked grandma what their secret was.

"Well, in that whole time we never even once thought about divorce." she said.

"We thought about murder a lot, but never divorce."

I don't think we think about murder. We are very tolerant of each other, and we laugh a lot. Even when things are not good, we find something to laugh about.

I would add that we also respect each other, and we enjoy each other's conversation.

yup, thats really the key, respect each other, and enjoy being together.....Today I went out and bought my traditional gift of a teddy bear and card. My wife has a collection of teddy bears I have bought her over the years. I dont know if she likes getting them but she hasnt said she doesnt so I buy one for her every year for Valentines day.

I expect nothing as far as material things. Respect, honesty and loyalty are all I require.
