Today Port Everglades in Ft. Lauderdale, FL is one of the busiest cruise ports in the world. In the 1940s and 1950s however, it was a much sleepier area since this was pre-cruise<\/p>\n

Visible in the upper left corner is the Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport which for the time was a good sized airport, but which is nothing compared to today.<\/p>\n
