Posted byadmin on 06.22.17

Disney Fantasy in #Barbados for the first time on June 22, 2017.  As part of the 11 night Disney Fantasy cruise, the ship headed to Barbados next.  Fortunately the tropical storm in the area had dissipated after leaving Aruba.

Here is the view from/of the Disney Fantasy in Aruba for the first time, June 20, 2017.  It was a beautiful day.  Mid-80s as is often the case and humid, a little rain shower for a few minutes, but all in all, the tugboats welcomed the Fantasy as did the Aruba.

Port Everglades aerial in the 1950s #PortEverglades @PortEverglades #ThrowbackThursday

Today Port Everglades in Ft. Lauderdale, FL is one of the busiest cruise ports in the world. In the 1940s and 1950s however, it was a much sleepier area since this was pre-cruise

Visible in the upper left corner is the Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport which for the time was a good sized airport, but which is nothing compared to today.

Compare the photo below to what Port Everglades currently looks like!
