Nearing the end of the first 11 night Disney Fantasy cruise, it arrived in Tortola! Yet another mid-80s day, with beautiful weather. It turned out that with the exception of the second & third nights where there were a little bit of rough seas, the weather was just about perfect for the cruise.
The next destination for the Disney Fantasy was St Kitts on June 24, 2017, the first time it had visited. Yet another beautiful day in the Caribbean.
The Disney Fantasy headed to Martinique next for the first time. Another beautiful day with temperatures in the mid 80s and some early cloud-cover. Even walking distance from the ship there were things to see and do, including a library with some very old books, museums and churches.
Disney Fantasy in #Barbados for the first time on June 22, 2017. As part of the 11 night Disney Fantasy cruise, the ship headed to Barbados next. Fortunately the tropical storm in the area had dissipated after leaving Aruba.
Here is the view from/of the Disney Fantasy in Aruba for the first time, June 20, 2017. It was a beautiful day. Mid-80s as is often the case and humid, a little rain shower for a few minutes, but all in all, the tugboats welcomed the Fantasy as did the Aruba.

Disney today announced Summer 2016 itineraries.
Disney is heading to Scotland, Ireland, and France:
Disney Cruise Line is sailing its first British Isles itinerary, visiting Scotland, England, Ireland and France. Throughout the summer of 2016, Disney Cruise Line also will return to Norway, Iceland and ports of call in more than 15 European countries.
Stingray encounters can be a nice excursion on a cruise. Encounters can involve feeding the stingrays, snorkeling with the stingrays or wading with them. The photo below is from Disney’s stingray encounter at Castaway Cay in the Bahamas.

When the Disney Dream had the maiden voyage in January 2011 one of the somewhat minor upgrades over the “classic” ships was the addition of rain shower heads. Some have wanted to know the brand of the shower heads and where to buy them. Well, the brand is Hansgrohe and after trying them in 2011 on the Dream, and trying the shower heads again in 2012 on the Fantasy, we did upgrade from a regular shower head to large Hansgrohe. It is quite nice. Not as nice as using one on a ship, because, of course you are cruising too then, but very, very nice. We’ve seen these in various rooms on the Dream and Fantasy.

Tortola BVI from Disney Magic. The Fantasy and Magic head back to Tortola in 2016 for a few stops. Tortola and Virgin Gorda are nice additions to the lineup.
