Forbes is also doing an investors cruise, June 2-14, 2009. This is a Lisbon to Venice cruise aboard the Crystal Serenity. The itinerary includes Lisbon, Cadiz/Seville Spain; Barcelona; Sorrento, Italy; Taormina, Italy; Kotor, Montenegro; Croatia; Trieste, Italy; and Venice.
I don’t think that the speakers have been announced yet, but it will probably at least include Steve Forbes.

What is an investor cruise and what is the price range?
September 20, 2008 at 4:25 pm #746AnonymousInactiveWell, they usually have a lot of speakers about different topics. For example, they’ll have people talking about the market (stocks, bonds etc). They’ll probably have people talking about politics and how that would impact your portfolio etc. There would usually be in-depth presentations and question and answer sessions. Plus you would no doubt have the opportunity to talk to people who are famous in the stock informally when you saw them around the ship
Prices can be from $7500 and up per couple, perhaps less. But that is for a 12 or 13 day cruise, so that is a reasonable price.

September 20, 2008 at 8:46 pm #750AnonymousInactiveWOW. That does sound like a good deal but are the speakers in place of the shows? I wonder if the food is any good?
September 20, 2008 at 8:47 pm #751AnonymousInactiveSince the cruises are on regular cruise ships I imagine that the food is just as good. Likewise, I believe that there are still shows, but perhaps some fewer shows.
I have read that parts of the cruises might be tax deductible, which would be pretty cool, they say "check with your tax preparer" first though, so who knows.
