Has anyone ever been on a Royal Caribbean Cruise? Why or why not did u like it ?
October 6, 2008 at 1:08 am #798AnonymousInactiveI have cruised with Royal Caribbean Once, last January on Majesty. It was my fiance and I’s first cruise and we were blown away. The staff onboard and with the company during the booking process is so unbelievably nice and helpful. If you call with about anything they can help! I would say the hospitality was one of the things that did it for me. Our cruise went to Nassau, CocoCay and Key West. I will say the Shore Excursions may seem a tad pricey, but it is worth it. In CocoCay we went on the waverunners and in Key West we went parasailing, and both were absolutely wonderful and something I will always remember! We were ready to book our next cruise as fast as possible! I am getting my graduate degree right now and life is hectic, but we just booked our next cruise for March of 2009 on Grandeur to Mexico.

October 9, 2008 at 2:08 pm #793AnonymousInactiveI went on my 3rd Royal Caribean Cruise back in April 08 aboard Liberty of the Seas. It will definitely be my last Cruise with them. One problem is overcrowding – their newer, bigger boats have so many people on them you feel like cattle. However, the bigger more alarming concern I have is in regard to the way they treated my parents. We opted to use the cruise’s baggage handling services from the airport. When we arrived at the ship we saw my parents luggage being unloaded from the bus to be put on the ship. That was the last time anyone saw their luggage. When my parents inquired about it on the boat they were given the run around and told many different things on many different days. Upon leaving the ship they inquired about how they would get reimbursed for the loss. To make a long story short after months of paperwork and phone calls, etc. etc., they were sent a check for 1/20th of the value of their luggage. My parents are honest people in their 80’s and were only expecting to be treated fairly. I found Royal Caribean’s actions towrds my parents to be shameless if not downright abusive. After doing some research I found that the company has a disproportionate amount of consumer complaints of this type filed against it. I love cruises but I would never cruise with them again.

October 11, 2008 at 11:47 am #813AnonymousInactiveDoes this cruise have the ice skating rink? Or the rock climbing wall? I think it would be fun but I don’t think they would be as nice as Disney. I love Disney! I know I have to give other cruise lines a chance but DISNEY ROCKS!!!!
October 11, 2008 at 1:31 pm #818AnonymousInactiveI was disappointed to read the review about RCC. A friend of mine is going on her 2nd RCC over Thanksgiving (it is a 7 day) and I will definetly let her know about the review. She said her cruise last year was wonderful and that her kids LOVED everything about it. She and her family did a lot of excursions but she did say she had to book them VERY early (4 months out) because they filled up fast. She said the food was great but sometimes she felt her room wasn’t cleaned at a reasonable time (4 p.m.). That is a little late to have your room cleaned and at an inconvenient time, if you are just getting back from an excursion or if you are getting ready for dinner then it would be frustrating to have to wait another 30 minutes for the housekeeper to tidy the room.
October 11, 2008 at 3:35 pm #821AnonymousInactiveThat does seem quite late. I like the cruises that I have been on because usually the room is cleaned quite early and then the do touch-ups 1 or 2 more times throughout the day (e.g. new towels, turning down the beds etc) if it looks like it is needed.

October 14, 2008 at 10:44 pm #830AnonymousInactiveThat’s good, I can’t wait to hear what he/she has to say!
October 16, 2008 at 2:01 pm #840AnonymousInactiveI really want to go on RCCL’s Mediterranean Cruise, I heard it was AMAZING!!!! I recently spoke to someone who just returned from this cruise and they said it was absolutely wonderful. She said that she has never had better service and that the crew was so helpful and polite. Her favorite place to visit was the Pyramids! I did tell her I was nervous about safety in the ports but she said security was very tight and that put her at ease. She also said the vendors in Egypt were a little pushy but the guards helped keep them at a distance.
October 18, 2008 at 5:42 pm #843AnonymousInactiveThat sounds like so much fun!!!!! Now I want to go to.
January 20, 2009 at 4:34 pm #937AnonymousInactiveI didn’t see if this was the cruise with the ice skating rink. If it is, is always very crowded or do they limit the number of people that can be on the rink at one time? I would like to go on this cruise too but I am a little nervous about the bad review that I read. Hopefully it was a one time thing but would not want to risk it. That is a lot of money to spend on a vacation and getting treated so poorly.
