If you are not happy with your cabin assignment, is it easy to change cabins once you are onboard? Also, we have the second seating for dining (it seems a little late children), is it easy to change your dining time once you are onboard? if you want to switch days for certain restaurants, is that easy to do?

1. I believe that it is extremely difficult to switch cabins once you are onboard. Usually the Wonder and Magic are almost always completely booked so it is therefor nearly impossible to switch cabins. One nice thing is that when you book you can sometimes pick the cabin you want if it is available.
2. Regarding dining, usually you can switch dining. I have only been on one Disney cruise where they could not accommodate the switch and that may have been me just not asking enough. Usually there are people in the early dining who want late and visa versa so they usually can change it.
3. I think that switching days is unlikely also unless you switch dining. For example, if you switch from late to early or early to late then in all likelihood your days that the restaurants will switch also. The good thing is that there are only 3 restaurants on the regular dining rotation so that you will get to go to all of them even on the 3 day cruises unless you take one night to go to Palo. Even if you do go to Palo, if you schedule it before or after your regular dining, you can probably make both – assuming your appetite can handle it of course.
I don’t know of anyone who has wanted to switch days, so I can’t say that it would be difficult for sure. Disney usually is excellent about trying to accommodate special requests, so if you had some super-special request I can imagine that Disney would try to accommodate it. For example, suppose you had gotten engaged at Triton’s on a particular day and wanted to be at Triton’s on your anniversary, I bet they would attempt to accommodate the request. Or if you wanted to be at a restaurant on a birthday I bet they would try to accommodate it.
One thing I know about Disney is that they will attempt to make everyone onboard happy and that they are usually extremely good at doing so.
